Jarrow recorded their fourth consecutive win in a hard fought match against a strong West allotment celtic team who were playing in the northern league division one last season. Jarrow were one nil up at half time thanks to Johnny Hirst with a great left foot strike. Jarrow came out into the second half and continued to press for a second goal. Substitute Grant Pressling came off the bench to score two goals which were clinical finishes with his left and right foot. Joint manager Chris Hutchinson said  "I  applaud another workman like display that the full team deserve credit for the quality of their second half performance. I am delighted with the  result which has taken Jarrow  level on points with leaders North Allerton and Tow Law Town. and we are  very pleased with how the club have responded to life in the Northern league in their first six matches. "
On Saturday for Brandon Utd midfielder Max Kirkham returns after missing last nights game there are fitness doubts over midfielders Peter Kane and Nick Quinn 
 
Jarrow's next fixture is on Saturday at home to Brandon United 3pm kick off followed by Alnwick Town away on bank holiday Monday which is also a 3pm kick off
