Match Report

Heaton Stannington visited Jarrow looking to stem an run of four defeats and Jarrow were buoyed by an good win at Esh Winning twelve days previously . The dangerous visitors forward Jonathon Wright had a shot just wide of Jak Wells after 10 mins, this was followed after 16 mins when an through ball over the top of Dave Smith saw David Hoggins strike the ball firmly home for the opener 1-0

Jarrow were having to cope with long balls up to the speedy Heaton forwards and not much was seen of the Jarrow attack , Kriss Goss had an free kick saved at the near post , but both sides had limited chances

Jarrow first substitute was Luke Collins for Kai Elliott at half time , the home side came more into the game with several of the visitors tiring , few clear cut chances came to either side , but Darryll Donnelly was introduced after 69 mins for Dave Smith , and the more direct approach started to pay off with several near misses, then

a cross shot from MOM Michael Watson found the corner of the visitors net to level the game 1-1 after 70 mins .Several shots from Wright flew wide of the home goal

Nick Little was booked for an late tackle in the 89th minute and seconds later Littles back pass was nearly intercepted by an Heaton forward  but Jak Wells did well to smother the ball .

A close fought game with a draw an fair result .
